Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished psychologist since 1993. She is also the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of children's memory as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victims in court settings. Professor Goodman, who has numerous papers and grants, is also the recipient of numerous national and global awards. She works with a variety of governments and agencies across the world on policies as well as the study of children's victimization within the court system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of many professional organizations including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice.
